Free Pattern: Setuaket Hat

Are you watching AMC’S TURN? I know I am! It’s got everything I need: Jamie Bell, period costumes, intrigue, honor and a sexy George Washington. What’s not to love?

One thing that caught my eye about Mr. Culpeper’s (I MEAN ABRAHAM WOODHALL NOTHING TO SEE HERE, REDCOATS) wardrobe was that he has a go-to stocking cap that would have been super practical for a seaside town.

It also would make a super practical knitting project! Who doesn’t want to look like Abe? In honor of tonight’s season 2 premiere, here’s the Setauket Hat,  a free hat pattern perfect for skulking around Setauket.

This is the ideal project for some serious TV watching. Stockinette and super simple construction means you can focus on oogling Ben Talmadge in his blue coat and shouting at Simcoe while still being productive!

IMG_3681Download your copy of the Setauket Hat today and join me on the couch tonight! And add your project to Ravelry so we can be members of the Black Petticoat Society together.

(Not caught up yet? You can check out the entire first season on Netflix today!)

  1. Wonderful! I love it!! I’m gonna try and do a crochet version, since knitting and I are not exactly friends. Gotta love that Revolutionary beanie!

  2. Awesome! Setauket is just north of me, but I clicked on the Ravelry link before I even saw the name. If you ever get to wear your Setauket hat in Setauket, make sure to stop at the Curry Club for lunch (you can eat in an old dining car from a train), and Mill Pond preserve down the road for the scenery.
