We started this week with one awesome crowd-funded project – Midwestern Knits – and we’re closing it out with another. Great Northern is a knitwear collection of 10 patterns inspired by the world of the show Twin Peaks.
The insanely talented Leah Coccari-Swift and Teresa Gregorio have joined together to put together a collection that is that hard-to-capture combination of haunting, rustic, and god damn beautiful. I have seen exactly 1 episode of Twin Peaks, but even I can see how genius these interpretations are:
So naturally, I’ve backed this Kickstarter. Who wouldn’t want to see more of this stuff? I’ve been lucky enough to get my project bag incentive a little early over lunch with Leah (thanks, boo!) It’s already being put to good use!
It’s holding my little Miette cardigan that I’m currently working through. Not only is the color a perfect match for the Great Northern logo, the vintage look of the pattern is actually a good complement to this collection. And that, my friends, is called synergy!
So take a moment out of your Friday and back Great Northern today. Genius needs all the encouragement it can get!
